The Rose of Roscrae

“An American Masterpiece isn’t strong enough to describe the significance of this saga…. there’s never been anything like it on the American music scene. ”
Mike Hurshman, KAFM Radio, Colorado

The Rose of Roscrae written and composed by Tom Russell is out on 15 April 2015
Produced by Tom Russell and Barry Walsh the latest album from Russell is eagerly awaited by his loyal following around the world. While every recording by him is – this probably more so than others. The third party of Russell’s look at America – The Man from God Knows Where and Hotwalker bring the other two – this promises to be another epic collection. Another Folk Opera if you like.
Described on Russell’s website as, “The first Frontier Musical written in the West, by a Westerner, using hard core Western lingo, and original and traditional songs. 20 years in the making – concept to completion.”
Featuring – 25 new original Tom Russell songs – on two records, with an additional book detailing lyrics, story background, and notes on songs and performers this promises to be well worth the wait.
